I never seem to be on the same “season” with the weather. I am either cold or hot. Very few times mother nature is generous with me, indulging me with the right temperature for my comfort.
But we get along anyway. I just put layers, and layers, and layers…
In this context I definitely need something to keep warm (and stylish) my head.
Here you have my Braided Headband Knitting Pattern – Stylish and Free!
What you need:
Needles: 6mm straight needles
Amount of yarn needed: scrap yarn
Yarn Weight: Bulky / 12 ply (7 wpi)
Abbreviations:
C8B: Sl 4 sts to cn and hold in back, K4, K4 from cn.
C8F: Sl 4 sts to cn and hold in front, K4, K4 from cn.
CN: cable needle
Finished Measurement: aprox. 48 cm (19 in) circumference, measured flat.
Other info: This pattern is worked flat.
Pattern:
Cast on 16 sts.
Row 1: Sl1, P1, K12, P1, K1
Row 2: Sl1, K1, P12, K1, P1
Row 3: Sl1, P1, C8F, K4, P1, K1
Row 4: Sl1, K1, P12, K1, P1
Row 5: Sl1, P1, K12, P1, K1
Row 6: Repeat row 4
Row 7: Repeat row 5
Row 8: Repeat row 4
Row 9: Sl1, P1, K4, C8B, P1, K1
Row 10: Repeat row 4
Row 11: Repeat row 5
Row 12: Repeat row 4
Row 13: Repeat row 5
Row 14: Repeat row 4
Repeat the sequence from row 3 to row 14 for 5 more times (or until it fits). Last sequence at row 14 you bind off and sew together the 2 ends.
