We love the Sea

A few years ago there were 717 km (435 mi) separating us from the Sea. But for the last couple of years there are only 432 km (268 mi). It’s still a good long drive, but it’s worth it and we are taking that road as often as we can, because we love the sea.

Like last weekend. We had an extra day off, so of course we hit the road and the Sea was the destination. We try to travel at night, if we can because we don’t want to waste a day in traffic, we prefer spending it on the beach.

This time we had another surprise. On the road we saw a mama bear with 2 cubs crossing the street. We stopped, but of course we couldn’t take a picture because it was to dark, and to be honest, I was a little afraid. You never know what a mama bear could do if she feels threatened. It was the first time that we’ve seen a bear in its’ natural habitat. R. was always encouraging me to look out for the bears when we were on the road. Every time he would say he is sure we will see one this time and I always thought he was messing with me. We finally saw one. What an experience!

Needless to say, after that, I was excited for the whole ride.

We arrived at the beach at sunrise. Amazing as always. We camped our tent and spent a lovely weekend in our favourite place at the sea side.

The evenings we usually spend them with a light dinner and a glass of wine.

I can hardly wait for the next seaside weekend. The Sea is waiting for us.

Happy Thursday fellow campers!
